31st March 2011 Update – The cheapest Blue Nintendo DSi XL can today be bought at John Lewis for £125.00.

The Blue Nintendo DSi XL is a new colour being added to the range of DSi XLs and is being released for general sale on October 8th 2010. It is probably the most surprising colour choice of the 3 new colors as the blue DSi XL is also one of the colours available for the console’s predecessor, the DSi. The other 2 new colours being introduced in time for Christmas 2010 are the Yellow DSi XL and the Green DSi XL. The blue DSi has always been a popular choice and is the traditional boys colour so the game is sure to be a popular choice and will be included in many boys christmas lists. Unfortunately for the girls, the most popular colour for them would have most likely been a pink DSi XL, however, this is not one of the choices Nintendo has gone for this time.

The specification of the new Blue DSi XL being released in October is exactly the same as the other new colours green and yellow, as well as the original 2 colours wine red and dark brown. It also comes pre bundled with the same Nintendo DS games. The blue Nintendo DSi XL is available to Pre Order from a number of stores already, including Amazon.co.uk, details are shown above.
